The Mindset For Success In Your Career, Business, and Spiritual Walk

Why you must have an "immigrant" mindset for success

I believe that knowing that we are here, but not from here, is one of, if not the greatest tool that Christian professionals can use, to succeed in their endeavors.

Why?

The Benefits of Living Purpose-Driven Over Results-Driven from a Christian Perspective

Living a purpose-driven life, especially from a Christian perspective, brings a sense of fulfillment and alignment with God's will that a results-driven life often lacks. When you focus on purpose, you are more likely to seek God's guidance and wisdom in your daily decisions. This approach encourages you to live out your faith authentically, prioritizing love, compassion, and service over mere achievements. It helps you to see your life as part of a larger divine plan, which can provide comfort and direction even in challenging times.

On the other hand, a results-driven life can lead to stress, burnout, and a sense of emptiness, as it often prioritizes worldly success over spiritual growth. By constantly chasing after tangible outcomes, you may miss the deeper, more meaningful aspects of life that God wants you to experience. A purpose-driven life allows you to find joy and contentment in the journey itself, rather than just the destination. It fosters a sense of peace and satisfaction, knowing that you are living in accordance with God's purpose for you, which ultimately leads to a more balanced and enriched life.

  • John 17:14-16: "I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world."

  • Romans 12:2: "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

  • 1 John 2:15-17: "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever."

  • Philippians 3:20: "But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ

I was once in a company, and we would have meeting, and they would often tell us, “your why should make you cry”. Our why doesnt always have to ONLY be our destination or our desired results, but also, where we came from.

Because of where I come from, my purpose then is, to live out and spread those values everywhere I go.

No different than an immigrant does when they arrive to a new country. They try as much as is possible, to preserve their cultural values and way of doing things, as well as pass them on and teach others.
